Welcome to the Bank of Queensland Eildon Junior Tour 2010

Welcome to the BOQ EJT for 2010, part of the 2010 CycleSport Victoria Victorian Road Aggregate Series.

Proudly presented by the Bank of Queensland (major sponsor) Blackburn Cycling Club (promoter) and CycleSportVictoria (officials).

This years Tour features J19 riders for the first time ever, who can take advantage of the incredible road courses that have been designed to test the toughest riders. We're also basing the start/finish lines in two central townships (Thornton on Saturday, and Eildon on Sunday) to make it easier for riders and their families to organise their tour experience.

See the tabs above for all Stage details, but this year they include:

The KoneCranes STAGE 1 Individual Time Trial.

A slowly rising time-trial out towards Taggerty, then left into Rubicon Road, this out-and-back time-trial will have competitors absolutely flying home into Thornton, and possibly with a Southerly tail-wind, too!

The Golden Trout Hotel Motel STAGE 2 Road Race.

These road-races take in some of the States most beautiful and accessible road-riding circuits around. The youngest age-group (J13) tackles the rolling course between Thornton and Taggerty. The J15/J17 riders wind up their legs around the Eildon pondage loop before hitting the infamous "Skyline" climb.  And the J19's cover all the aforementioned territory, including the beautiful Acheron Valley/"Breakaway" region inside the Taggerty-Thornon-Alexandra "Triangle". All races start, and finish, in Thornton.

The Outdoor Education Group STAGE 3 Road Race.

The culmination of this great tour will find all riders, from J13 to J19, finishing their races on top of the dam wall. With spectacular views (West to Eildon, the pondage, river and distant Valleys, North to the Lake and mountains) and sandwiched between Mt Sugarloaf and Mt Pinniger, there's not a finale like it in Victorian racing. All within easy access from Eildon and great vantage points for spectators.
